Nicolò – new intern in our team
By mid-April, we welcomed Nicolò Bittoni, a Master’s degree student from Italy currently studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Insubria in Busto Arsizio (Italy). Nicolò started his internship at the IF PAN Maj Institute in Krakow and will remain a valuable contributor to our research projects until the end of January 2025.
Please read some of his testimonials and first impressions of the Pain Lab and Krakow:
„From my first day, I was warmly welcomed by Professor Starowicz and her team and was integrated into the daily activities of the laboratory. During the initial months of my traineeship, I will be involved in various ongoing projects within our department, eventually focusing on a singular project, which will be the subject of my master’s thesis.
For an Italian student like me, the first few months in Krakow were filled with new experiences. The city’s historic and lively student atmosphere creates a hospitable environment.
Exploring Krakow’s streets, trying traditional Polish cuisine, and engaging in student activities provide a rich cultural immersion.
I can sum up the initial months in Krakow as both exciting and enriching. I’m sure that many wonderful and inspiring events, including The European Pain Federation Krakow Pain School „Translational Pain research: From Lab to Clinics”. are still lie ahead of me.”
