Thanks to a bilateral Scientific Cooperation Agreement signed by the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and Polish Academy of Sciences Prof. Katarzyna Starowicz spend 5 working days at the Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitellit. She was accompanied by a talented post-doc, dr Katarzyna Popiołek-Barczyk.
This scientific meeting was designed to broaden our understanding, facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, and stimulate the development of innovative approaches in the field of chronic pain and novel pharmacological targets. Additionally, this research visit provided a valuable educational opportunity by allowing direct engagement with electrophysiological studies, offering hands-on experience that complements theoretical knowledge. Beyond the practical aspect, the event served as a platform for professional networking, enabling interaction with one of the leading research groups in pain pathology and neuroinflammation. This exchange of expertise and exposure to emerging trends and advancements contributes to the strengthening of the scientific community and fosters the development of future collaborative research initiatives.
Research stay at Dipartimento di Medicina Sperimentale was a remarkable and profitable time, not to mention the wonderful hospitality of Professor Sabatino Maione’s group and the excellent tasting values of the unique Napoli!
