On May, 10 The Foundation for Polish Science awarded the START scholarships for the 100 most talented young scientists from all over Poland. The ceremony took place in the Royal Caste in Warsaw, which tells a lot about the prestige of the award.
We are happy to announce that Natalia’s achievements received high recognition by members of the Jury. She became 2017 START laureate, a talented researcher at the outset of her career, who has already achieved some success in their field. Natalia’s research using a variety of behavioral assays and biochemical analysis refers to the topic of her PhD dissertation – interaction of endocannabinoid and endovanilloid systems in pain. The research was led by Dr. Katarzyna Starowicz.
The motto of The Foundation for Polish Science is: “Supporting the best, so that they can become even better”. The START award is to help young researchers to stay focused on science and push their career forward. Best way to say that this system works is that our group leader Kasia received START award in 2005.
