NEURONUS IBRO & IRUN Neuroscience Forum 2016: a long standing spring tradition

Neuronus IBRO & IRUN Neuroscience Forum is an annual conference for young investigators from diverse subdiscplines of neuroscience organized at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Topics cover different aspects of neurobiology, cognitive and affective neuroscience, as well as clinical neuroscience and neurology.

The opening lecture “’How memory guides decision making” given by  prof. Christian Büchel from the University Medical Center in Hamburg was extremely interesting and held deeply in the spirit of the Neuronus Forum conference. Thanks to the comprehensive approach to the topic, from behavioral, cognitive, molecular and clinical perspective, it was a perfect introduction and a great opening of the conference for all participants.

Kuba was presenting his poster entitled “Evaluation of anti-nociceptive potential of dual-target compound OMDM198 in the animal model of osteoarthritis’’ during “Pain section” on Sunday, April 24.  We noticed that all the authors presented with  lots of  passion and devotion which was displayed in  their work presented to the  audience.

We particularly appreciated the stimulating discussion-environment during “meet your speaker” session. This informal feature allowed students to talk in person with the conference speakers whilst sipping coffee. Conversations and experience exchange with other conference participants gave Kuba a lot of inspiration and energy for further work. It was a great weekend full of gaining knowledge, exchanging conversations and meeting amazing people. We strongly believe that NEURONUS IBRO & IRUN Neuroscience Forum is a place-to-be for every young neuroscience researcher. Since first edition NEURONUS IBRO & IRUN Neuroscience Forum have been organized annually, but from now it will be transformed into a biannual event. So see you in Krakow in April 2018!
